To start making a watch, we need design a watch first.

In the enquiry & quotation stage, we release 2D renders or 3D drawings quickly, to support them to finalize the designs for their OEM watch projects, according to client’s input. Usually an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) is required between both sides to protect the original design from exposure.

We also come up with new watch designs regularly for ODM watch projects. Samples are available for some of them, please refer to small order zone for details.

To start designing a watch, we need to figure out followings in advance.

• Watch function/ watch features - quartz or mechanical? 3 hands or Chrono watch?
• Case material - Stainless steel? Zinc alloy? Brass?
• Watch band type - Stainless steel bracelet? Genuine leather strap? Mesh band? Rubber band?
• Water resistant requirement - 3ATM? 5ATM? 10ATM? 20ATM? 30ATM?

It is necessary to make one prototype before mass production especially for stainless steel watches. It takes time as we need to produce components one piece each.

To save time & cost, sometimes we do a 3D printed case or watch head instead for simulation to check its size and profile. 

To save cost of issuing new mould for case, please check here if there’s any existing cases that meet your requirements.  You can use our existing cases to custom your watches by changing design of other components like dial, hands, band as well as logo.

Once order is confirmed, we start producing case and outsource other components like movement, dial, hands. Although production of each type of cases are carried out in 3 steps - CNC lathing, drilling and polishing, it varies dramatically in manufacturing procedure and lead time, due to its different design and structure.  

We conduct 100% IQC (Incoming Quality Control) when watch components coming, and start watch assembly following below steps, only if there’s no reject parts. 

• Dial & hands fitting
• Casing & back closing
• Water resistant testing (IPQC 1)
• Time & date setting
• 24/ 48 hours trial run (IPQC 2)
• Band assembly 
• Finished goods final inspection (FQC)

We provide factory standard packaging free of charge including polybag + bubble bag + cardboard box + carton; If needed, we also custom packaging for customer, for example, customized leather watch box as well as warranty card, hang tag, labeling/ sticker etc.

Usually we do incoterms of Ex-W or FOB Hong Kong for bulk orders transportation.  It is negotiable upon request. 

Drop shipping service is also available.  It departs from Hong Kong or Dongguan. We do drop shipping with some small business for years.
